Nova Scotia to spread awareness about online gambling to its youth

After Labrador and Newfoundland rejected the idea of online casinos, Nova Scotia Canada, located in the Atlantic province, joined the fray. However, they might give the idea a shot.

Even though the idea is rejected, the province is still giving a look at the activity, as other Canadian provinces, which include Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec, have decided that they are going to offer online casinos to all their punters. These provinces wish to reap financial benefits from the trend, which keeps on growing with each passing day. 

However, Nova Scotia province has realized that web world can have an influence on the youth of the province. They will get addicted towards online gambling and might consider online gambling operators from offshore operators as well. For stemming the influence, Nova Scotia Government, alongside the Community College in Nova Scotia, is going to have an educational workshop on online gambling.

Responsible Gaming Council has come up with an interactive program. Known as the KTS2 or Know the Score and funded by the Gaming Corporation of the province, this program makes use of the staff-maintained displays for engaging their students. Truro Campus is going to hold this workshop and it will be designed for teaching the students about the risks, which come with online gambling. With more than 30,000 post-secondary students as a part of the Nova Scotia system, this should make an immense impact. It is believed that most of them would need to familiarize themselves with the available options for online gambling, which they can come across, once they start their life in a university or college.
